Food source secured

I read somewhere that civilization can only begin when a food source has been secured.  Well, we obviously have a very secure food source, judging by one faculty that actually exists at the University of Waterloo.  As to "civilization"?  Well, you be the judge if this department represents it:

Yep, Waterloo really has a Department of Recreation and Leisure Studies!?  (And, by the way, should it not be "Recreational" Studies?  Isn't this a university-level course??)  But I digress.  Evidently, there also exists a Canadian Association for Leisure Studies!!!!

Did anyone else know there was such a day??!!??  I certainly didn't.  So, folks, this is where "civilization" has taken us.
