Food for thought....

I have been wondering about why Whites are racists,
and no other race is......

Michael Richards makes his point...
Michael Richards better known as Kramer
from TVs Seinfeld does make a good point.

This was his defense speech in court after making racial comments in his comedy act.
He makes some very interesting points...

Someone finally said it.  How many are actually paying attention to this?

There are African Americans, Mexican Americans, Asian Americans,
Arab Americans, etc.
And then there are just Americans..
You pass me on the street and sneer in my direction.

You call me 'White boy,' 'Cracker,' 'Honkey,' 'Whitey,' 'Caveman'...
And that's OK...
But when I call you, Nigger, Kike, Towel head, Sand-nigger,
Camel Jockey, Beaner, Gook, or Chink ..
You call me a racist.

You say that whites commit a lot of violence against you....
So why are the ghettos the most dangerous places to live?

You have the United Negro College Fund.
You have Martin Luther King Day.
You have Black History Month.
You have Cesar Chavez Day.
You have Yom Hashoah.
You have Ma'uled Al-Nabi.
You have the NAACP.
You have BET....

If we had WET (White Entertainment Television),
we'd be racists.

If we had a White Pride Day, you would call us racists.  If we had White History Month, we'd be racists.

If we had any organization for only whites to 'advance' OUR lives, we'd be racists.

We have a Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, a Black Chamber of Commerce, and then we just have the plain Chamber of Commerce.  Wonder who pays for that??

A white woman could not be in the Miss Black American pageant, but any colour can be in the Miss America pageant.  If we had a college fund that only gave white students scholarships...
You know we'd be racists.

There are over 60 openly proclaimed Black Colleges in the US.  Yet if there were 'White colleges', that would be a racist college.

In the Million Man March, you believed that you were marching for your race and rights.
If we marched for our race and rights, you would call us racists.

You are proud to be black, brown, yellow and orange and you're not afraid to announce it.
But when we announce our white pride, you call us racists.

You rob us, car jack us, and shoot at us. But, when a white police officer shoots a black gang member or beats up a black drug dealer running from the law and posing a threat to society, you call him a racist.

I am proud......
But you call me a racist.

Why is it that only whites can be racists??

There is nothing improper about this e-mail.  Let's see which of you are proud enough to send it on.  I sadly don't think many will.

That's why we have LOST most of OUR RIGHTS in this country.  We won't stand up for ourselves!

BE PROUD TO BE WHITE!

It's not a crime YET....But getting very close!

He's the only guy....

....the despots heed.  That's why I believe Trump is the US president the world needs right now.  One of my family members -- one of whose ignorant fb friends called me a "Karen" -- asked me why I think that and asked me to write about it.  Here goes:

China and Russia are determined to expand their territories and move ever closer into other sovereign countries.  Right now, China is annexing parts of India.  Russia has already annexed the Ukraine and Chechnya and has its eyes on the Canadian Arctic.  Not that the US cares about Canada, but we are the only buffer between the US and a Russian invasion.  And make no mistake, Russia wants global domination.  No longer is it the Union of Soviet Socialist Republic.  It is Russia.

China does too.  Currently, it is taking over territory in the South China Sea -- not to mention Hong Kong.  What's next?  Australia and New Zealand?  Does anyone seriously think Marie Antionnette, a.k.a. Macron, or Bumbling Boris can do anything about the creeping invasion of these super powers?  You have to meet strength with strength and Trump is the only guy who can do it.

Eight years were wasted by Obama's meaningless drivel.  As for Twinkle Toes Trudeau?  Forget about it.  If we don't have Trump, we have nothing.  Who else is going to stand up to the world's bullies?  Not Biden, that's for sure.

Joe Q. Public is focused on Trump's personality, his hair and his tweets, but not on his policies.  It's all fine and dandy to crap on Trump when you have the Rule of Law, a full belly and a roof over your head.  But take all that away and you'll wish for a Trump, believe me.  Name me one country run by a dictator that has succeeded?  You can't.  Just ask Germany, whose ass was handed it in WW II when one man tried to take over the world.  Just ask any African country.  Just ask Venezuela, Turkey, Hungary, any Eastern Bloc country......no democracy = no consistent, long-term success.  You would not catch me living in any one of them -- especially Russia.  The British, on the other hand, have had democracy since Magna Carta and Habeus Corpus -- quite a run.

And speaking of countries, where does everyone who lives in the above places want to go?  The USA.  And what currency dominates the world?  The American.  If you're offered an Italian lire or an American dollar, guess which one you'll take?  Correct.

Domestically, Trump has focused on the level and degree of competitivness that the US must have in the global economic, financial and political arenas.  The democratic principle of the Rule of Law must be adopted by at least one super power and right now the only leader who does that is Trump.  Biden talks about everyone being equal, but everyone is not equal.  All must must be treated equally under the law, but we are not all equal.  Democracy protects the weak, but it must be run with a firm hand, backed by law enforcement.  As to "law enforcement", it enforces the Rule of Law.  Get it?

Domestically, Trump has also signed a bill that will allow employers to hire competent tradesmen, whether or not they have an official accreditation.  He has also signed a bill that links jobs to university degrees.  Your graduates don't get jobs, you don't get money.  About time.

Trump has the ability to pivot, as did FDR.  The Democrat's policy of appeasement to the masses, depending on which way the polls go, means they take no real position.  Clinton and Obama could not pivot to maintain the US' strong position.  Yes, there is collateral damage to a leader who pivots, but Trump is prepared to take the heat.  Many call him a dictator, but I don't believe he is and the other elements of the system, i.e., the judicial and legislative branches, will not allow it.

So, that's why I believe the world needs Trump right now.

Yours truly,
"Karen"

The rule of law applies...........

..........except when the mob doesn't like the ruling and tries to impose its own will.  This is what is happening following the verdict in the assault trial of off-duty Toronto police officer Michael Theriault, who was found guilty of assault.  Thousands of people took to the streets in aggressive protests demanding that....what?  That Theriault be strung up and hanged?

That's about what it looks like to me.

The poor judge, Joseph Di Luca, took four hours to render the verdict, which was broadcast live and to which 18,000 people tuned in.  Eighteen thousand would fill Toronto's Scotiabank Arena!  Instead of delivering his verdict, he had to give a painstaking background on why he ruled as he did.  "My task is not to deliver the verdict that is most clamoured for, or to conduct a public inquiry into matters involving race and policing." said the beleaguered Di Luca.

Frankly, why did he have to go on for four hours to justify the law he was imposing?

I was heartened and relieved that the two criminal defence lawyers I saw being interviewed agreed with the verdict and said it was the correct one, given the evidence.  In spite of being black, neither was swayed by the frothing mob braying for blood.

I'm not going to go into the details of the case, except to say two brothers caught a teenager trying to steal their parents' car, chased him down and pummeled him.  There is a dispute about who brought the lead pipe and whether it, or a fist, was what injured the eye.  All this Di Luca took into account, noting that he had many credibility issues with the victim who he believed had lied about breaking into vehicles.  In spite of all that.......

"You know, a guilty or not guilty verdict doesn't change what happened.  It doesn't give Mr. Miller his sight back.  It doesn't take away the paranoia that he's probably feeling," opined Pascale Diverius, a founding member of 'Black Lives Matter Toronto'.

What has that got to do with the legal matter?  Let's ignore the facts and let's ignore the law.  Let's just rave on about a personal agenda.  See, that's where the credibility of these movements crashes.  If not convenient, facts are denied or ignored.

"Justice is Blind" means that Lady Justice is impartial and objective; she does not treat people differently.  The scales of justice represent the balance of the individual against the needs of society and must be a fair balance between the interests of one individual and another.  Since the 16th century, Lady Justice has been depicted wearing a blindfold, which represents impartiality, that justice should be applied without regard to wealth, power, or other status (i.e., race).

In this case, the victim said -- contrary to the bellowing and frenzied mob behind him -- "I don't feel like I took a loss.  I feel like we took a step forward."

I am sure the agitated and enraged leaders holding placards behind him were none too pleased.

As a relevant aside, I want to add that I saw a post of four, hand drawn characters.  One said, "I'm a proud Asian Canadian."  Another, "I'm a proud Black Canadian."  "I'm a proud Indigenous Canadian."  The fourth said, "I'm a proud White Canadian.  I must be racist."

An inconvenient truth............

So, here is the truth from 2018 FBI stats.............how inconvenient for so many -- especially the media:

If you can't read it, the stats are that for 1,000,000 members of the murder's race, they break down as follows:
  • Whites killed by Blacks:              11.30
  • Blacks killed by Whites:                0.95
  • Whites killed by Whites:              10.84
  • Blacks killed by Blacks:               57.14

The RCMP stats for native men and women who are killed also show that the majority are killed by people they know, or relatives.  But, hey, let's not quibble with annoying facts.

The disgraceful display of NDP leader Singh calling a BLOC MP "racist" for not voting for his precious bill about "systemic" racism everywhere you look was unconscionable.  The guy is the leader of a national party and all he bangs on about is racism?!  Get on with your job, grow up and quit yapping.

Not everything is -- or should ever be -- about race.  As I keep saying, we are all one race, the human race.  Everything else is about culture and personal behaviour.

I disagree

As usual, I am out-of-step with conventional thinking.  I refer to the Stockwell Day tempest in a teapot over his remark that systemic racism does not exist in Canada.  Frankly, I agree.  It doesn't.

Systemic, or institutionalized, racism is defined by Wikipedia as:

"A form of racism expressed in the practice of social and political institutions.  It is reflected in disparities regarding wealth, income, criminal justice, employment, housing, health care, political power and education.

"If can also be the collective failure of an organization to provide an appropriate and professional service to people because of their colour, culture, or ethnic origin."

In Canada, I can't think of any institution that would discriminate against, or bar, anyone because they were black or any other colour.  Racism certainly exists in the US, but here in Canada?  I certainly don't see it -- and that's not because I am white.  Any disparities in wealth, income, criminal justice and all the other factors listed above are usually the result of personal choices.  As I say, we are all one race:  The human race.  Everything else is culture and the individual decisions we make.

In Canada, everyone has a health card and access to the same care.  As for people living in "ghettos", that's because different cultures congregate in the same, separate communities.  I would not call them "ghettos".  Here in Calgary, for instance, those of Chinese and African heritage tend to live in the northwest, where we live, because that's where they feel most at home, comfortably surrounded by their own cultures.  That's just a fact.

The same with running for office.  Anyone can.  As for professionals, many, many here are of East Indian origin.  And while native people do live in poverty, that's because they choose to live on isolated and remote reserves with limited access to services.  They can certainly move off-reserve, but they stay because the reserve system is how their leaders get money.  (See countless blogs about this mess.)

It's ironic that racism is so widespread in the US because it was the British, who the US threw over, who introduced slavery to that country.  Yet, Canada -- long a British dominion -- didn't have slavery.

And while I'm at it, I wish sports celebrities would shut up about politics and racism.  They should just collect their millions and stick to the knitting.  Why do we care what Connor McDavid, Drew Brees, Pascal Siakam and Sidney Crosbie think about racism?  Just keep chasing pucks around and bouncing balls because no one wants to hear a bunch of millionaires opining about something of which they know nothing.  Money insulates you from everything.

So, I say to poor, beleagured Stockwell Day, it's too bad you were bullied into resigning by the elites in academia and the never-ending, politically-correct media -- not that you were going to be elected to anything anytime soon anyway.  I'm disappointed a little truth got in the way of any contributions you might have made in the positions you had to leave.
