Cindy Woodhouse Nepinak is now demanding that Carney hand over taxpayer money to close what she calls, "A First Nations infrastructure gap of over $375 billion in the next ten years."
Say what?! Nepinak said Canada committed to closing it by 2030, "That the budget must fund a plan with First Nations and that Conference Board research shows investments would create hundreds of thousands of jobs and return $1.82 per dollar."
The AFN’s own estimate was already $349 billion back in 2024 and has only grown. Ottawa has poured tens of billions into First Nations infrastructure, housing, and schools since 2016, yet the Auditor General found no meaningful improvement in housing conditions and warned the 2030 target is at high risk of failure.
Well, Cindy, Duh!
In spite of billions poured into safe drinking water, problems and poor infrastructure persist while Carney’s Liberals run deficits above $60 billion and pile on more debt. Why should struggling Canadian taxpayers fund another blank cheque when past spending has not delivered the results she claims?
Well, Duh again.
At the same time she is demanding MORE MONEY, it has been revealed -- again -- that illegal the cigarette trade is flourishing:
