The Ukranian president. |
I am smelling a large rat when it comes to Volodymyr Zelensky. Since the beginning of the war, the world has given him more that $100 billion to wage his personal vendetta against Russian president Putin.
My question is, where's the money going? I sound a bit like Vivek Ramaswamy, the latest candidate for the US presidency, who promised to cut all aid to the Ukraine. "It's a battle between two thugs on the other side of the world," he said. I agree, but the rest of the world seems intent on financing Zelensky's side at all costs.
Zelensky won election on a promise to clean up corruption, but it seems to me he's right in the middle of a lot of it. He has given himself a salary of $60 million. Really?! The guy was a standup comedian, for Gawd's sake. He has also bought luxury properties and villas in the Virgin Islands, Cyprus, Belize, Egypt and London, as well as a fleet of luxury cars and other goodies.
And isn't it a coincidence that his relatives and in-laws also started buying luxury properties and yachts right after the war began. Just saw coverage of yet another international meeting during which he asked for, yep -- more money! Let's face it, no matter how much the world hands him, he will never defeat Russia. Never.
The Pandora Papers is a good source of where he spends this money; have a read for yourselves, you'll be shocked. My point is, why would he want to end the war when it is reaping a financial mega-bonanza for him, his aides, cronies and relatives?
Exactly. Expect this to drag on and on until someone -- other than me -- twigs.
