"Grandma, let's have a girls' weekend," said granddaughter the other day, driving home from water polo. So this weekend we did. And it was even better because it had been her idea, rather than mine; I didn't have to beg her to spend time with me.
I'm going to take every one on offer because it won't be long before hanging out with grandma is the last thing this soon-to-be-10-year-old will want to do.
First stop, Milestone's in Market Mall for lunch, after which we hit 'Old Navy' where I treated her to jeans, casual pants and little gold earrings:
