A complete failure

I have been saying -- to the relentless boredom of my readers -- for more than three years that Canada's response to COVID, under the "leadership" of Canada's chief public officer of "health", was a complete failure.  Now the British Medical Journal(BMJ) has released a report confirming it.

In incompetent Tam.

Theresa Tam, above, was an abject disaster, considering her ONLY job was to prepare Canada for another SARS.  I repeat, that was her ONLY job.  Didn't do it.  Her official job description reads that her role is to, "Strengthen the country's ability to respond to public health threats, outbreaks and emergencies."  That was her ONLY job.  Failed.  And millions needlessly died.

Never mind she was imbedded with the WHO and knew for months that COVID was a real threat, she said and did nothing because she didn't want to single out China and prejudicially, racially insult them.  On this file, Trump did a much better job of getting vaccines out, by the way.  He deemed it a war.  It was and he fought back.  

OMG!  Talk about blood on your hands, Tam's are covered in it.  By the way, instead of being fired, charged and jailed, she is still employed and making $350,000 a year!

From a series of seven articles emerges a picture of an "ill-prepared country with outdated data systems, poor coordination and cohesion and blindness about its citizens' diverse needs," senior editors of the BMJ and its Canadian colleagues wrote in an editorial.  

"Beneath the surface of a general sense of satisfaction (encouraged by Trudeau's unwavering support of his appointment of Tam.  Afterall, he is a "feminist"; she a woman.  What could possibly go wrong?!) lie major pandemic failures," the editorial says.

"A particular disgrace was the mass COVID outbreaks and deaths at long-term care homes.  Canada leads wealthy nations for fatalities, despite more that 100 reports and inquiries over 50 years that foreshadowed a crisis."

The only reason so many Canadians survived was, "because they delivered on the pandemic response, while its government faltered," the report concludes.  I could go on, but you get the dismal picture.

As an aside, 46 percent of Canadian women actually support Trudeau.  Forty-six percent!  To me that means that 46 percent of Canadian women are woefully uninformed and lack any semblance of critical thinking.  So much for enlightened feminism.  Sad.
