Would someone please tell me....

The joys of Toronto!

....how the hell thousands of illegal asylum seekers are camping out and living on the streets of Toronto?!  How did they get into Canada in the first place??!!  Who let them in and why?!

Oh ya, I forgot, Trudeau actually mindlessly said, "Canada welcomes you" a few years ago and the floodgates opened.  Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Minister Sean Fraser -- another guy who parked his brains in a bin to get elected -- said, "Canada will continue to support the world's most vulnerable people fleeing violence, wars and persecution who seek our protection."

How dumb.  They're mostly economic refugees and they will immediately get welfare and health care at the expense of the taxpayer.  Whatever happened to due process?  Whatever happened to the concept of countries actually having legal borders?  Why are illegal refugees and legal immigrants dumped into the same category?  I mean, why go through due process when you can just stroll in with your designer luggage?

It's unconscionable.

Of course the buck stops with Doug Ford and Olivia Chow, who have to deal with this mess of humanity fouling the streets of Canada's largest city.  Chow's mistake was to run on a platform of housing affordability (in Toronto, that's a laugh) and humanity (of course she did, she's a died-in-the wool, do-gooding NDPer).

Numbers have grown by 500 percent in the last 20 months with no room at shelters.  Hence, they are living, eating, sleeping, procreating and defecating on the streets.  How'd you like to be a business owner in downtown Toronto (see below)?  Didn't think so.  The province is already paying for hundreds of hotel rooms, in addition to shelters, to stash people.

Isn't this charming?!

Previous funding for this madness stood at $700 million, including more than $215 million in Toronto alone.  Now the feds -- i.e., you and I -- will be forking over another $212 million.  "If you bring new people in, you have to step up," said Ford.  Does everyone forget that there's only one taxpayer?

The Canada Border Services Agency needs to deal with this debacle where it begins -- at Canada's borders.  But over-worked and don't-give-a-toss agents have just thrown up their hands in defeat.

Gawd help us.
