Blew himself up

First, let me qualify to comment on the US presidential candidates:  Both my natural father, William Doyle, and adoptive father, Thomas Griffith, were Americans:  The former from New York, the latter born in Kansas City, Missouri.  In my estimation, that makes me a naturalized American.

The debate the other night was so cringe-worthy as to make me want to hide under the sofa.  What was the strategy behind Biden wanting to go this early?  Because his team knows it will only get worse as time goes by.  Better to chance it now than a couple of months from now, when he may truly be catatonic. (See Note, below.)  I can just see Xi and Putin warming up the nuks, fingers on the triggers right now.

And why was Trump so easy on him?  Because he doesn't want to face any other Democratic candidate; he wants to face Biden because if so, Trump will win handily.  The other ingredient is the "Jill" factor.  She loves being president!  She's another Edith Wilson, who ran the Oval Office from 1919 on, when Woodrow had had a stroke and had to be kept hidden.

Make no mistake.  The only person who can stop the elder abuse -- and it is abuse -- of Biden is Jill.  He listens to no one else.  She runs the show.  It is truly appalling to see her striding out in front of Joe, or holding his hand and guiding him gingerly down three steps.  The protocol is that no one exits Air Force One ahead of the president, but there's Jill doing just that time and time again.  Is she there to soften the inevitable tumble?  Must be.

This is the head of the most powerful nation on earth.

I used to (sort of) admire Jill, but no longer.  She was not elected president, he was, and it's time for the two of them to exit stage left and let another candidate give it a go.  The problem is the other "go" is Kamala Harris -- a truly vacant airhead if ever there was one.  Would anyone give her the nuclear codes?  Were she president, they'd have to.

The US is in a real quandary.  Frankly, between the two, I'd have to go with Trump.

(Note:  If you have YouTube, watch 'The Behaviour Panel' and its analysis of this debate.  Excellent look at what's really going on.)

  1. Well said. Have seen the Biden/Trump sideshow this side over the pond. Laughable, cringe worthy. We have the same choice to make as to which two muppets to vote for on July 4th, in Uk. For me it’s Rishi Sunak. A case of the devil you know.
